Chick Flicks

So.....I'm a big fan...No big deal....

What is your favorite?  Please go into great detail about the sappy details of the film and how you feel about the relationships between the main couple the film is focused on.

  1. My personal favorite is "A Walk To Remember". I was flipping stations one night, and I fell upon TNT which was showing the film. I wasn't really watching it at first, as it seemed like a really silly, childish presentation of a badass dude and the really nerdy chick who seem to hate each other but clearly are going to fall in love.

But then its different. The guy clearly has no interest and the girl tells him he cannot fall in love with her, and as silly as this statement seems, (as the guy thinks its ridiculous to even assert the idea), it also grabs your attention because there must be a deep reason she is saying this,,,,or shes really cocky.

But anyways they do fall in love and you forget that she told him not to and you forget that there is a reason why he shouldn't....and then BAM *SPOILER ALERT* (I won't spoil....so technically not a spoiler alert) but yea then BAM and you're screaming at the TV WHY DID YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH HERRR WHYYY?? and yea....its a classic

  2. How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days is definitely one of my favorite chick flicks. The main roles are played by Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. The premise of the movie is that Hudson’s character works for a magazine and is writing a piece entitled “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” which will describe all of the things girls do wrong in their relationships that push guys away. The catch is that she will find a guy and do all these things. In case you haven’t seen the movie, McConaughey’s character is put up to a bet that he can’t make a girl fall in love with him the same night that Hudson is out with her friends trying to find her guy. They end up together but both are trying to accomplish their own goals. However, in the process they fall for each other of course. I think this is the ultimate sappy but very cute relationship because it was unexpected. Neither of them admit that they really do love the other until the very end once they are apart. The ending is classic in some way because the guy chases the girl to tell her he loves her. It is a perfect demonstration of not knowing how good you have in until it’s gone. The movie also does a good job of keep the plot light and funny with the many awkward situation Hudson’s character creates. This is one of my favorites because it is funny but also very cute because of what the relationship turns into.
